The Graduate Certificate in Construction Engineering for Infrastructure Projects will cover a wide range of topics taught by world-renowned faculty in construction. The course content is mainly online asynchronous (with limited online synchronous meetings with faculty experts). Students can complete the courses at their own pace.
In this self-paced program, you will learn how to manage aspects of an infrastructure construction project including project planning; cost estimation; project delivery methods; and construction project administration. Additionally, you can also examine sustainability challenges related to infrastructure construction and the policy environment that influences how these projects are planned, implemented, and regulated. Upon completion, you will be better prepared to manage construction projects in owner organizations, engineering firms, and construction companies. You will also have earned a professional credential from Virginia Tech and credit towards a graduate degree.
